After our reunion last week, we kicked off our summer session with some adrenaline infused adventures this past weekend as well as getting back into the groove of workshop and setting the stage for the rest of the session.
Our 9th grade participants ventured into Paradise Valley to partner with Mountain Sky Guest Ranch and explore their high ropes course. The groups had a blast challenging themselves and supporting each other through the high-flying adventure. In workshops this week the soon to be freshman focused on gaining skills related to teamwork and setting some goals for the session.
10th graders took their adventurous spirits in the same direction as the soon to be freshman, however instead of heading into the air they found themselves battling whitewater on the Yellowstone River. After our snowy winter the waters are raging making for an exciting (and chilly) first adventure for all of us. Workshops this week focused on community. We talked about how we create our community at BYEP and how we can spread that to the rest of the Gallatin Valley.
Thanks for letting all of your awesome kids spend time with us this summer. We are excited to continue our adventures and learning throughout the next few months...stay tuned for more!
