I'm Brian! BYEP's New Program Manager
Hey, everyone! I'm Brian, BYEP's newest program manager (as of this post!). So, I wanted to take a moment for you all to learn a little bit about me.
Our work at BYEP supports and challenges teens in a safe way. And my biggest hope is for young people to find pleasure in self discovery and while directing their lives with purpose and joy.
I spent most of my childhood in Cincinnati. I was born in Boston, though, which is also where I attended college. Always on the move, I relocated to southern Utah and worked as an instructor and guide for a wilderness therapy program after I graduated. From a young age, I’ve been a mentor, teacher, and counselor in many different capacities, and I find enjoyment in creating space for others to learn and grow.
I've always enjoyed physical activity, and nowadays, much of who I am is defined by time spent outside with friends. I love to ski, mountain bike, hike, and rock climb. My favorite season is fall, and during that time I often give my body a rest and opt for reading a book outside. I enjoy cooking, learning new languages, geography, history, and writing.
I have been living in Bozeman for a couple of years, and I love it here. I truly appreciate the intimate connection I feel with the natural world all around me.
I am excited to work with BYEP, and I am excited to continue to learn more about what this program means to our community.
And I can't wait to meet you!
