Scott Dehlendorf

Scott’s association with Montana began in 1978 when his family purchased a cattle ranch outside of Livingston, Montana. As he worked on the ranch during school breaks, he knew someday he would call Montana home. In 1995 that dream became a reality for him and his wife, along with a newborn, when they moved from the SF Bay Area to the ranch.  Fast forward 24+ years, their two kids are out of college and we now call Bozeman home.

Most of his career has been focused around management and investments in various industries; film & video production, ski resorts, coal mining, ranching, construction, and most recently commercial real-estate development. Scott feels fortunate that those ventures have afforded him the ability to primarily work for himself, live a Montana lifestyle, and continue the philanthropic spirit he grew up with.

Besides his 5+ year board tenure at BYEP, Scott also served on the Gallatin Valley Land Trust (GVLT) board for 6 years and various other private boards along the way. At the end of the day, what brings Scott joy in life is helping others, especially the kids involved with the BYEP program.
