Crux: Exploring self-respect and identity
“We don't need bigger cars or fancier clothes. We need self-respect, identity, community, love, variety, beauty, challenge and a purpose in living that is greater than material accumulation.”
Ever wondered what it takes to be in the circus? Last week in Crux, group members got a chance to try their hands at learning all sorts of new circus tricks, while also taking time to explore their identities and learn more about their personal values. Participants spent their adventure time tumbling, balancing, and working together to learn fun new skills including how to laugh off the inevitable falls and dropped juggling objects. At BYEP, we realize that life can sometimes be silly and serious at the same time, and we try to allow space for both in of all our activities.
