“The parts of your body that frustrate or sadden you are simply messengers asking you to eat, drink, move, think, breathe, believe or perceive in a new way. See them as the gift that they are.” Dr Libby
10th-Grade: Wheel of Wellness
Last week groups took a look at the six dimensions of wellness: (occupational, physical, social, intellectual, spiritual, & emotional) and evaluated if they are fulfilling their potential in each pillar. The intention was simple enough; to bring awareness to the topic and get participants thinking about what their “ideal” health looks like. To encourage self-reflection, members were asked to consider the following questions…
Is what I am engaging in mobilizing my positive characteristics?
What am I doing to honor each of these realms?
Look at the ‘real’, the ‘ideal’, and identify any incongruencies.
What is one thing you could alter to honor your healthiest self?
11th-Grade: Family Dinner
After spending the last two weeks planning, budgeting, and shopping, groups came together to execute their meal plan. On the menu: homemade pasta, shrimp alfredo, chicken burgers, and tortilla soup. We are continually amazed by what our crux groups are capable of when they work together. Check out these amazing photos of our chef’s in action, there is no such thing as too many cooks in the kitchen at BYEP!
